Hi Can you tell me - in order to get a system backup onto my Laptop from a small KXTDA 30 , I have to re-initialise the system and then reprogramme the system via the laptop maintenance console to the PBX. I have just taken on a Pana customer and I am a bit reluctant to do this- OR is there a way to transfer data from the PBX SD to the Laptop. Thanks P.S have checked the website and haven't found anything except the re-initialising method

Under Utility, pick File Transfer PBX to PC, system will list all file in the SD card. Hilight DSYS, and hit the Transfer button. It will ask where you want to store the file, pick a folder, name the file and hit OK. No init is needed even when uploading, at least on US ver.

i find the easy way to take a backup of a system is to buy a sd card reader cost about 30 euro remove the card from the system insert the card in the reader and copy the lot over however you only need to copy one file ( DSYS ) this is the file that stores the system config remember when uploading the new file it must be named DSYS if you need to know how just ask and i will write it up for you
