Did a service call today and found a system that had a couple of issues. The line keys on the phone were not all working... got that resolved by reprogramming the keys... they also would not ring when there was an incoming CO call. It would flash the key light, but not ring. Also solved that by making sure that the trunk was assigned to ring in Day1, Day2 and Night modes.

The problem that remains unresolved is that even though the line keys are ringing when an incoming CO call rings in, but it rings once and forwards to the AA. I have checked all of the timers related to call forward on no answer, etc... and they are all set for 30 seconds or more... but still, one quick ring and the AA picks up.

The VM is an outboard Aleen vmail box. No docs or info on this box.

Look under FF5 extension hunt groups.
Hunt group for VM would be Pilot Hunt Group.
Check Hunt Group Delayed Answer Timer.
That key sequence is for DBS, may be diff for HD.
Check Manual.

is that outboard unit on an analog port?
sounds like you need to figuir out how to
make those extensions to delay ring or not ring
at all
