Ive been looking at a few MOH devices that are in the $150-400 dollar range and there are a lot out there. What kind do you guys like the most. IM looking for something small, not technical to use on an ext. set up to play a message, such as buisness hours, cafe menu kinda deal. One I have taken liking to is this feller: https://www.ahernstore.com/ohp6000.html

I always push Premier Technologies. They have a wide selection to choose from and they all are commercial grade stuff. Check out the SM-1000 that uses a flash memory card and the USB-1000 that uses a standard USB flash drive and MP3 files. Stick the USB drive in your computer, drag and drop some MP3 files into it then stick it into the player. Taking this progression further they just came out with the NET7000 which is the same player but with an ethernet port and a built in webserver. Now you can access the player from any computer on the network and simply delete or drag and drop new MP3s into it as you want. No sneakernet. -Hal

The Premier USB-1100 is still at the lower end of your price range and just a few bucks more than the OHP-6000. The good and the bad is the OHP comes with Message Studio 3.0 so you can produce your own messages. The Premier mounts easier, is all metal, and uses any flash drive (I prefer the Sony Micro Vault Tiny that you can grab for under $15) that you might have laying around. You just walk up to the box, plug in the drive, hit reset, and walk away. The OHP uses SD chips, so if you have an SD burner it's not a bad unit.
Personally, I have one of each, about 5 Message Studio 3.0 CD's on my shelf, and a Nel-Tech Messager on my office system.
If you screw your chair closer to the floor, the Premier NET7000 is at the top of your price range, but well worth it if you need to change messages frequently and don't want to constantly run to the player.

-Hal I like premier as well. We have used the USB 1100 (that looks just like it anyway) and a similar device from another manufacturer with great results. thanks (Link removed because of pricing. -Hal)
