Heres my problem: I am using ext51 and we have another person on ext32. Whenever someone calls my extension, it also rings on ext32. As far as I know, call fowarding is not set, there are no odd messages on the phone, just our names and ext number. I have tried setting call forwarding off by 'on/off 72 on/off' but it still rings at both ext.

I have read about permanent call forwarding in my crude manual but no futher information or directions on it. How do I stop calls from also ringing at the other ext?

you will need to know the port number of the extension as well as the co line.
then go into programing, ring programing ff key 4, enter 1 for day mode or 2 for night mode.
enter the port number for the extension you don't want ringing. enter the co trunk number then set it to 0 for no ringing.
good luck

Ext 32 most likely has a non primary DN of 51 on his phone or a ringing cover button. Check the other phone and see if the Intercom is ringing or is it a
function button that is ringing?

Ok, the first set of instructions didnt work as it was already set to 0.
Here is what happens:

When someone in the office picks up their phone and presses 51(my extension), my phone goes beep and displays whos calling. At the same time, the phone on ext32 also goes beep but just displays 'call'. I need to stop ext32 from also getting the call whenever I get a call. permanent call forwarding is also not set so its not that.

side problem:
ext32 goes to ext31 mailbox. how do i get it to go to its own mailbox when someone tries to leave a message?

BTW, thanks for the help on this, i just got a 600 page manual on programming this thing and im trying to not look confused hehe.

It is more than likely BLF ringing in the programming. If you are not familiar with the DBS this could be a little tricky.

The second thing (side problem) is not in your manual. What type of voicemail do you have? Chances are the CF integration digits are set to go to mailbox 31 instead of 32. I can't do anything with that problem until I know what kind of voicemail system you have.

Give the manual a shot and see what you can do with it. Report back if the manual is of no help.

my bad, i thought he was talking about when a call comes in for him.
rich is probably on the right path.
try ff key 4 option 7
see if that helps any.
while your there i would check to see if ext 32 is ringing on ext 31

It worked! thanks guys, a light still flashes but at least it doesnt ring anymore, which is good.

The voicemail is a Panavoice 2.0 from like 1997. I have roughly looked at all the options in the program and didnt see anything unusual with the subscribers with ext31 and 32.

If it is the PC based Panavoice(Not the Panavoice "S" Series) check to see if the mailbox is assigned to the proper extension. You could have mailbox 31 assigned to extension 32.

If it's the small "S" Series you have to log in as the system manager and check the settings for those mailboxes.

I don't remember if you have to use CFWD digits with the Panavoice or not.
