Hi All,
I need a little help!
I am looking at purchasing a used KX-TD 1232 w/caller ID card, w/31 extensions and a new KX-TVA 50 VM.
I have a KXT 1232 with a 150 VM the system worked great, but I new would like to have Caller ID.
I have a friend that lives on the out skirts of town and just bought a used KX-TD 1232 w/caller ID and the caller ID does not work, the techs have tried everthing they say it is poor line voltage, because they hook up the little 5 dollar caller ID boxes and it ghets the signal every time?
So is this a good system to buy or does it have inherent problems.
Any thoughts on the caller ID problem would be nice!
Thanks

No real problems to speak of, it certainly as solid as your old system. It's a safe investment.

Caller ID not working is probably due to them using solid state protectors on the lines. For some reason, caller ID information doesn't always pass through them. I too chased that problem for six months until I found that is was simple little LED in-use indicators on the lines.

If you will please take a minute to update your profile, we may be able to assist you further.

Yes, It better be there, they have had Pacbell out 2x's and the phone tech's 3x's. The phone tech is a really nice guy but he just can not solve this problem. They have been told by Pacbell techs that the line volt falls in the specified range but that it is at the low end. If this is a digital signal I would think that it would work or not. He does get the Caller ID messages from time to time. Could Pacbell put a booster inline?

2 ways to tell pop the top and look and see if it is in the lower slot or blue screen also
you can test the card at the same time with blue screen

Dezine, you do know that the only way to tell is to open the cabinet up, not just the door but actually take out the 9 screws and pull the main cabinet apart.
It's also possible that's it's in the wrong position,
not seated properly or has bent pins.
COs 1,2,3 & 4 is the lower position and 5,6,7, & 8 is the upper position.
Your sure that it was activated for all lines in program field 406?
