I agree. Our case is very special. We program the KXTA624 systems on a daily basis, due to changing conditions (eg, cut the phone to someone with a debt). So we have to use unattended fully automatic software. In the past we did that by hand in all our offices and it was a nightmare. But again, that is an unusual case. Thanks for all the feedback. I am now clear as to what to buy. Incidentally, the software was written by us and is part of a much larger system.

I also have just bought the KX-TEA308 but regrettign it because for some reason I cannot program it from my PC! My older PABX worked perfectly with a software I bought from pbxsoftware.com. However, this new PABX did not work with teh software I had. So I bought a new version from the same vendor and it STILL does not work!
What's more is that they keep on mentioning the 'Maintanance Console' software that comes with the PABX - but I did not get it! Nor can I find it anywhere on the Internet.
Does ANYONE have any positive experiance with programming the KX-TEA308 from yoru PC? Please do share.

Hi There. I own a company with two regular lines. My costumers complain all the time that lines are busy, but in those cases most of the time one of the lines is not busy. I also want them to hear this greeting message "Hi, thanks for calling us, please press 1 for sales..." What kind of system you advice me to buy. We are a small company so I hope I can find a "configure yourself" system and an easy to maintain system. Thanks for your time

Welcome, Jacanas:
Before we can offer any in-depth assistance, we ask that you please fill out your profile completely.
It sounds as if your lines aren't programmed by your local service provider to "hunt". An easy way to test this is to pick up on your main number and dial that same number. If it's programmed correctly, your call will automamtically roll over to line two. If you get a busy signal, then you will need to call the telephone company's business office and have them add the hunting feature to your lines. There is a small montly charge for them to do this.
This is the only way to do this with any system using regular phone lines. The phone system you have cannot force calls to roll over between lines.
