I have just bought the KX-TEA308 but regrettign it because for some reason I cannot program it from my PC! My older PABX worked perfectly with a software I bought from pbxsoftware.com. However, this new PABX did not work with the software I had. So, after being advised by the vendor, I bought a new version and it STILL does not work!

What's more is that they keep on mentioning the 'Maintanance Console' software that comes with the PABX - but I did not get it! Nor can I find it anywhere on the Internet.

Does ANYONE have any positive experiance with programming the KX-TEA308 from yoru PC? Please do share.

The software should come in the box, and it works very well - setting up with USB is really easy, and it's got quite a nice interface.
I've already got the software (came in box as it should.) but I was interested in how well protected the zip files were, so I tried finding it. I don't understand why Panasonic are "protecting" something which they give away with the unit, and which is only useful for programming the PABX!

As stated the site is password protected therefore it will not be allowed on the forum.
If Panasonic saw fit to password protect it, whether we aggree or not we will honor that protection.

Notheruser, That is the dealer website for the uk / Irish market it should not be given out.
All files are passworded protected.
As a trained panasonic installer it annoys me when people put this information up on the web.
Note: it is not a www. site

I Would ask the Moderators to remove this site address

OBT, done.
I know what Panasonic's "dealer rules" are within the USA but outside the States we depend on members as yourself.
Thank you!.

The Reason it is password protected is because there is more than just the 308/824 system's on it( which does come with the software in the box ) and is only for trained dealers/installers. it also protects the customer from untrained engineers from trying install the equipment with out the software in the box.

In the US, if you RTFM, somewhere there is listed the website, user id, and password for the TA-824 systems. I know what it is, and I have given that out in PM, because it is printed in the documentation you receive with the phone system.

Of course, if you didn't get the docs..... :-)

That's true Carl, but as you said you used a "PM"
or you can use e mail.
You had the sense not to use the open forum and for that we thank you. clap

Carl,
Thats fine, dont get me wrong I will help anyone with user codes and installers with field codes, but they have to know how to use them plus the website in question on this page is not on any manual, it is givin out to installers at the course as a place to get full software and card upgrade software on all systems. I would not even pm this one.
