on a panasonic dbs 576, how do i get an extension to ring when a call comes in?
i would prefer to do this with phone programing rather then setting up the laptop.

It is no easy task my friend. I don't work on these often, so anytime I do, it requires getting out the laptop. Not for the programming, but for the manual. It is an impossible system to keep in your head. The only way I could help you with this, would be off the board, via phone.

There would be some time involved.

Have you worked with the 576 before? Are they copper trunks, or PRI?

I thought the same thing DMC. There are absolutely no similarities at all between the DBS and 576.

The only way I have ever programmed the 576 is via set programming. Never connected my laptop to one before. I don't have any software except for the CD with all of the manual's on it. The only place I know to get that CD is, directly from Panasonic, or from a Panasonic Dealer.

Sorry I can't be of more help. Again, not many 576's out there, so I am fortunate not to have to work with them often.
