I am trying to switch the ext on my KX-T7433(jack#5/ext#105) with the ext on my KX-T7425(jack#1/ext#101). I have followed the manuals directions and when I try to store the new ext in manager prog mode I ALWAYS get 3 beeps. I have tried many diffrent angles on this please help.

if you are doing it thru the keypad you will have to put a wild card in the mix first like 100 first at jack 01

Webnic, what system is this on? You would be vetter off switchng the cros connect at the MDF then playing with flexible numbering. MrG

yes, you can switch ext but the rest of programming does not follow on old KXTD816 0r 1232.

Yes John, the system manager should be able to access "extension number set" in field 003. Again, unless your familiar with programming I would simply switch the cross connect at the MDF. Once this program is used any programming changes will require that you know the port that your working with, not simply the extension. If someone goes into programming thinking that Ext. 101 is port 1 and 102 is port 2 you'll be in for a world of trouble. MrG
