Ok guys, I am a DBS/DBS576 guy, I am certified on kxtd and tvs, however our sales man just sold a 848, problem is I can not get the executive override to work, I had it working yesterday but added a few cards today and reset the system and now It won't fly, I have checked the COS and it is allowed and the exts are not set to denie it? No call monitoring set either, What am I missing today that I set yesterday?

Brian, Not only does it need to be active in the COS but that COS has to be assigned to all the extensions that you want to have.
You also have to activate it at each extension.
You can not have data line security set.
It will not work for a doorphone call or if an extension is already on a conference call.
It will not work if a call is on consultation hold
through DISA.
It will not work if an extension has live call screening enabled or 2 way recording enabled.

thanks, I read all of that directly out of the book as well, and I have triple checked everything, but still it will not allow me to do an executive override, is there a missing step somewhere? COS is set at system level, phones have COS 1, no data, etc.

Did you activate it at each individual set?

Called Tech support, Was not aware you had to dial a 3 after recieving the busy signal to enable excutive override, I must have been doing a monitor the otherday cause it let me barge in without entering anything,

Thanks for your help

Brian
