Hi,
I would like to set up our TVS50 to allow voicemail callers to select a mailbox by dialing by first name. I've set up the mailboxes with Last Name, First Name but I haven't been able to re-record the prompt. I've tried to edit user prompts 1 AND prompt 2, prompts 132 and 133 to say "Enter the first 3 or 4 letters of the person's first name", but when I test the voicemail, I still hear the prerecorded message asking for the last name. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Don

You have to go into the TVS 50 with the laptop and change each port on day and night to "user 1" or "user 2", it's probably set at "system" right now. MrG

Would that be under:
Program-->Port/Trunk Service-->Port Service
Then under each port, Incoming Call Service Prompt? Ours is set to User1.
Thanks,
Don

Maybe your answering with "custom service" menus, check those also as well as the company greeting if you using one. MrG

Hi,
I went to Custom Service Settings and changed the Prompt Mode for Day and Night to User1 and that did the trick. Thank you very much!
