I think I know the answer to this but I have to ask.

We have a small law firm with a TD816 and a TVS50 vm. They are renting office space to a single attorney who has a paralegal and will be using their phone system. The attorney and his paralegal have their own CO's coming into the system and they will answering their own calls. They want the firm's system to send unanswered incoming calls to their voice mail boxes I set up. The firm does not use AA. Can this be done with the firm's current system? I looked through the books and tried forwarding to vm if busy or no answer and of course, it didn't work. I'm pretty sure it won't do it but I need someone else to say the same thing.

Yes it can. Have new lines ring only 1 phone,
DIL 1:1. That phone cf/no answer.
Other than that, it could pick up with AA, if the 816 software supports Trunk supervision.
Otherwise you would have to split ports, hard to do with only 2 ports and have it work properly.
Contact your vendor for proper solution.

Well, this problem kind of fixed itself. There was major miscommunication between the law firm and my boss. The new attorney isn't going to answer their own calls, the law firm receptionist will. Kind of a real cluster, had to reprogram a bunch of stuff.
