Hello.

I have inherited a house project which the original owners riped out the phone system but only left the door phones( Panasonic KX-T30865 X 3) in different locations.

The new owner wants a different phone system than Panasonic but was wondering if those doorphone could be used on the new systems.

Normally I know that each phone system's keyset uses a proprietary signal that can't be used on other manufacturers phone systems. I also realized that sometimes an exception to this may be on doorphones which can be manufacture by outsourcing with a 3rd party and may be more of a generic signaling such as with Viking electronic doorphones

My question is:

1.Does the Panasonic KX-T30865 use a proprietary panasonic signaling or a generic signal that might work with other phones systems?
2.Does this integrate directly into an unused C.O trunk in the phone system?

The Panasonic iyntergrates to the system using a propritory adapter. If they are going with the expense of a new system why not replace the door speakers also.

We installed a panasonic doorphone on a NEC DS 1000 last yr. Works great. Rings in on the intercom, not an unused C.O. port.
