1st time post thanks for the wealth of information.I have a 824 system with 77 series phones and talking cid that on an incoming co call once picked up does not connect for aprox 1 to 1 1/2 seconds. The delay is driving my client crazy. She does not like saying hello twice. Panasonic said it is in the operating spec. of a hybryd system.
Thanks Chris

so one would think they'd come up with patch for a global issue like that or at least come out with new software is this a new install or is this a first generation 824?

this is a new install with the latest software, I plan to switch the main unit to see if the solves the problem or it persists. what surprises me all others have been non events with cable provided lines, phone comp. lines even 60 year old wiring.

he says that when you answer the call that the talkpath has a 2 second delay and they are saying hello twice before the outside party respondes
don't do much of the 824's but have heard about this somewhere.
back to problem is there voicemail on this 824 does it answer first and then the auto attendat transfers calls or are you on normal flexible ringing assignments?

SNC, I would have to agree. It does sound as though the prompt "you have a call" has been turned off but the transfer mode was not set to FXA. If there's no A/A involved then we have to go back to the drawing board. MrG

Sorry guys no voice mail. Standard 824 with cid card and doorphone card. no installed or outboard Pana voicemail. On a incoming call when client goes off hook there is a delay up to 1 and half to 2 seconds before the path is connected. Only on CO's not door or intercom path's

Must be a bad unit. None I have worked with function that way. And that is not the spec of a Hybrid. You must have gotten the janitor at Pan TS. Any phone , slt, system hybrid or digital or 1a2 for that matter should answer and connect as soon as you press the button or Lift Handset if using RLP. Are co lines set to normal? Have CID on or off? Also could be the outside line, tried with other phones, butset? Are you saying it only happens on the Talking CID phone? If so Does it continue with Talking CID turned off? Default system and try again?
