I cannot get message waiting notification via phone to work. In the TVA: Mailbox Parameters:Device Notification for Unreceived Message -- Yes COS 1 (default settings) Notification Schedule: continuous Device Notification Timers: all 0
System Parameters: Outgoing Call Ports: 1-2
In the ta824: Line Preference for vm ports: idle line COS: 1 for both vm ports Outgoing call checked for day/nt/lunch for vm ports on all live co's
I've tried with & without a 9, for device number. After I leave a message in mailbox, I never see a CO appearance light. The vm tells me 'I'll notify by telephone' She lies!
What am I missing?

Line pref should be left @ default of "no line" in 824. Out dial must preface with a "9". Device numbers are 1 - 3, not 9. Device must be turned on. Use utility to in TVA console to monitor progress. This will tell you if TVA or 824 is the problem.

I changed the line preference to 'No Line'. Works!
