I have just taken a very weired account. Some other company installed a KXTDA100 left it pretty much default and skipped town. The customer called my company for help and I'm doing my best. The system seems very user friendly and cool! Is there a admin software to log in with a laptop.Seems that would be a heck of alot easier.I have software for the voicemail but the last vendor did not leave it for the PBX! Thanks Jayman

Not to be mean, but the TDA is a dealer certified product. I would guess that if you called Panasonic you might be able to go the the April certification class in Elgin, IL.

I wonder sometimes, 'the installer skipped town', how many times is it a choice thing by the new owner. Super deal, support after initial install, only by the hour via remote, what's your credit card number? Wiring/hands-on subcontracted out, pre-paid based on hi-estimate. No one will help you. You need to get certified or tell your client to call a certicied dealer. He can go to panasonic.com and enter the zip code to find a delaer. Propriety sofeware is needed to progran this system. Panasonic has very strict rules on this new product.

Installer skipped can also be code for "We did not pay the last vendor".
I don't believe a TDA dealer "skipped town".
There is something else going on here.

They called us a day after the cut-over, apparently the vendor had them down for a long period of time, could not figure out the programming(probably not a dealer either)and did not set up the voicemail,so the customer payed the guy for what he did get finished and told him he could go!Good news I did get the voicemail up and going and I have figured out most of the programming over the phone.I wasnt going to tell a customer I wasnt even going to try!!

Not necessarily. I have a couple of original 1.0's without a flash id. I can upgrade it without registering it.

I guess if I got one of those calls, I'd first try to determing who installed it and why they left.
