Sounds like the system might have accidently been switched into nite mode and if you never used or programed "nite mode ringing" then all phones are defaulted to ring.
hit the "#" key at any display phone to see the current mode.

I have a KXTD1232 and want to have certain phones all ring at once, but only certain nominated extentions, so for example if an external person rings a number (xxxx) xxxxxx then it ring 3 or 4 phones all at the same time. I cannot figure out what I need to do, I have a hunt group which works but only rings one ext then the next etc.

You can assign multiple phones to ring in program 603 (day) and 604 (night). Or you can have the lines ring the hunt group, but make sure it's set to be a "ring" group.

How do I set a ring group

I have the Panasonic software installed on a PC how do I go about doing the programming of the ring group on that, I have never done the programming from the handset

Having looked at the prog manual I dont want certain outside lines going to these ext, I want any outside call from a specified tel no which at the moment is directed to a spec ext, how do I setup a ring group and then get those phone in that ring group to ring at the same time.
