i've been getting an error light when the data link error occurs, but i notice no diminished functionality (dropped calls, etc). (all the "Network MSW" errors are the phantom ones from the last system revision from panasonic and don't cause an error light). you can see the link is very quickly reestablished. Anyone else experiencing this? the brains at panasonic told me "if it ain't broke don't fix it", but i don't like the tone of that and i know you guys are usually better than they are.

I wouldn't worry about the data link error light, it just means that a cell site has been unplugged or for some reason failed temporarily.

We've had 848's in locations for 3-4 years now, they always get error lights for that reason but we haven't had to many complaints of no coverage off of the call sites.

It is a pain to have customers call because they think there is something wrong with the system just because of that light tho...

this one definitely doesn't get unplugged-- it's in my place!

Jim, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's getting physically unplugged.
It could be the cabling, the Mod. connectors, the card, the port, any of the components.
It looks as though it's a programming error, it's hard to say.
By chance are doing Admin. through a Lan. connection?

I've seen this on the digital with the same response from KXT support. Does not seem to cause any problems with system function. That we know of yet?
