just replaced an old panasonic EASA wih an 824 configured 3 x16 and programmed other buttons to be speed dials for extensions. however buttons marked co 8 and 9 light up when incoming call rings on line 1 or 2. ( 3 is not in use, but left it active for posible future use.. I have them prorgammed to be icm 108 and 117 and it occurs even if I unplug the jacks on the ksu.
thanks!

Check those buttons at the phones and see what they are programmed for. Just press program, press the button, (co 8 or 9) and see what it shows. You will need a display set. MrG

Are those extensions programmed to ring on incoming calls? It sounds as though you're getting the DSS appearance and ringing indication, even though they are unplugged.
