Have a client who has had verizon to the house to check out this issue but they blame the old easa system. I have now replaced it with an 824 kxta and the problem remains.
If a call comes in , on line one and no one is using any phones, then it rings on the second line, part of the 2 line roll group.
However if line 2 is in use than it rings on line 1 position, as it should. I have reversed the one and 2 and it follows the same.
How do I explain this to Verizon, or is it the "house"
thanks

Let me try to understand this. Did you swap the modular plugs for lines 1&2? If you do, when you dial the customer's number, it will ring on line 1. It has to because you just swapped 1&2.
I don't know what it follows the same means. And from what you describe it's not Vz's fault.

After reading Carls post I went back and re-read your post. 1st thing you want to do is ID the lines and then call Verizon and see which is the pilot. It sounds as though they may also have call waiting on one of the lines as well. Also see if the hunt is circular or terminating Check it out with two SLT sets at the NID. MrG
