I have a TVA-50 attached to a TA-824. The flash drive is 94% full with over 300 messages according to the drive usage report. However, the mailbox usage report shows no messages at all in most boxes, and only about a dozen saved/new messages total. I have verified that the message retention time is 30 days for both new and old messages. I have reset the system, but have not initialized it yet as I don't want to have to start from scratch if I can avoid it. Any ideas?

Yessir, thank you for asking. From the time the system was turned on it seems to have had errors.
12-22-06 APPLI INIT PROCESS Error Code 1242 12-22-06 APPLI INIT PROCESS Error Code 1000
12-25-06 APPLI DATABASE PRGM Error Code 2 12-25-06 APPLI TIMER PROCESS Error Code 2716
Then the 12-25 errors occurred again 1-1-07
There have been lots of codes 1000 and 1242 since then, it looks like every day the system was accessed.

Make sure the maintenance console is not connected all the time. If the maintenance console is connected, all deleted messages will continue to be saved, taking up the valuable memory space. I learned this the hard way.

Thanks. So far I have left the system running, and the memory should be full by about now.
I am guessing that the problem may be with the message log. I have disabled the "mailbox full" warning, and set the retention time to 3 days. (Oops, I hope nobody left a message last Friday)
Time will tell.

Well I talked to Panasonic tech support and they suspect that I have a bad flash card. They were able to tell me that by deleting and re-creating the mailboxes I could force the system to delete the messages. I did this, but it is not possible to delete the message manager's mailbox. I freed up about 60% of the memory. Sooner or later I will have to re-initialize the system and possibly replace the flash memory.
