Guys, I've got a customer with a 1232 and they are complaining that 2 extensions when busy, dont go to voicemail. Apparently they go to voicemail on no answer, but not on busy/no answer. what can i check on the system to make sure that i enabled it properly ?

If you are speaking of an intercom call to a phone that is CF NA to VM, when called you will get a busy signal, nothing will happen till you Press 1 or the BSS softkey, then the phone will ring and follow the NA timer to VM. A transferred call to the same ext should follow without any action. There are 2 types of Call Forward: Call Forward No Answer for those who wish to receive new calls while they are on another call, these users should activate Call Waiting and set Call Waiting Tone #2. Call Forward Busy/No Answer is for those users who do not wish to receive a new call while they are on another call. A side effect on KXTD systems is that intercom callers to a CF NA phone must take action to get to V Mail. (and if Call Waiting is not turned on they can do nothing) Of course it would be much faster to hit the Voice Mail button and enter #6(ext) then press 2 instead of waiting for the ring to be answered by V Mail. On TDA system you can make Call Waiting automatic.
