824 installed to replace old 616. Added TVA 50 voice mail until installer told me it could not send separate greetings to separate lines... as my att 1782 2-line discontinued units can... so we took it out. Is my only recourse verizon vmail?

George, You may want to get a different installer. I have set up trunk service on the TVA with the TA 824. This is basicly how you would have specific greetings for specific CO lines. It sounds asthough the TVA may be set up for port service. MrG
he said it could not have one greeting on one co line and one greeting on another co line... he called panasonic when i was there and the help tech could not resolve it. i want to run these so when you call my first line you get greeting 1 and second line gets greeting 2.... and that i can retrieve them all from making one call, not two different calls.
you do it like this two mailboxes w 2 analog exts with delayed ringing on each line and both either forward all or forward b/na depending on how long of a delay that you want and then give each phone 2 mw-xxx buttons do it all the time
APT integration will support Trunk supervision, Panasonic calls it Universal Trunk Service. Any port of the TVA can answer any incoming line with a greeting specific to that line, if set up properly. You need a new installer or have the one you have READ THE BOOK. I don't think Pan TS would say this can't be done, fairly common in the phone biz. Mr G., as usual, got you steered right within 4 minutes!
MrG is on the money. i do it all the time here and i would bet it was the installer (tech) that made the call. the thing to figure out here is not if it can be done. but who the bigger fool is, your tech or panasonic tech support .but myself i dont belive he made a call at all.
Once you get it working, check out the option to "forward" messages from one mailbox to another, which allows you to log into one of them to check both for messages.
