He could use call forward, busy no answer. or intercept to an extension ( If that is on his version of system) but if you want it to go to voicemail it has to be forwarded as an intercept to voicemail would send it to the AA

We don't have the voicemail module, just E1.

We are indeed thinking about installing a voicemail module, but for now the emergency is this. Manual FWD is possible but there's a small issue that when the person who will receive the transferred calls is away, she would have to redirect the calls to somebody else, but the system does not support more than one redirection... I tested with the Intercept function and it worked fine (two redirections were made).

Our system's version is 211 (-----P211V30729A).

And I would like to thank all of you for the help 'til now.

in that case put some phantom buttons on
backup answer locations and fwd to a phantom
that way if you see that a phantom ext is ringing
off the hook it can be answered.you really should consider voicemail or an updated system
a 500 would have been a better choice you would have had a least pdn's and sdn's to play with

The installation manual (which includes the feature guide and the programming guide) I own has 1/3 of the options I see on the system, it doesn't cite phantom buttons.
