Hi,

I purchased a KX-TG2000b this weekend and tried to set it up. I thought I did it correctly but when I used the wireless handset I kept getting a dial tone then a "no connection to base" error message. I thought I had cleared it up by registering it. But now when I get a call, I can hear the other party clearly but my voice is totally garbled and full of static. The wireless handset has charged for over 8 hours and is fully charged. Any ideas?

Thanks for reading.

Yes, initially my cordless phone showed a [-] in the window. After registering, it showed [1]. I did get a few errors though before it actually registered. I was going to give up and it finally registered.

There is a common problem with the RF modules in the cordless handset units. As those phones were discontinued some time ago, I assume that you bought this off E-Bay or somewhere similar.
If the phone is under warranty, return it. Tell them that they need to fix the RF module.
If it is not, we repair them. You can click on the link in my signature to find us.
