my question is if anyone knows if on the residential side i can use the pbx but without having the phone ring from my business line but be able to call out and recieve calls from on of the CO numbers to specific phones so there is no co-mingling...
I hope that makes sense. | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2,561 Likes: 1 Moderator-Panasonic | Moderator-Panasonic Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 2,561 Likes: 1 | Sort of. Any line can ring or not ring any phone. For the sake of an argument, put your residence line on CO6 and don't let it appear on your business phones. On the residence side, make the business lines appear but not ring on your phones.
If you've never done the programming before, it will take some trial and error to find out what the software can do, but it can be done.

Ringing is assigned in the system on a per phone / per line basis.
Read the manuals in programming and features.
Good luck.

With any luck, inside the TA box is a CD that has the console software. Install it and open it up. Use the scenario where your residence is on line 6, the business on 1-3 or whatever, and your business extensions are 1-5 and your residence is 106. Go to CO (3.2). You will see a display of INCOMING and OUTGOING CO access for line 1. That's where you start and there's a HELP tab if you need help. The naming and assignment of extensions and ringing is your task.
