We replaced an old 412 Panasonic analog system with an 824. The old system had a paging port that was a phono plug input. We switched the cable to a mono 1/8 " mini plug to go into the new paging port on the 824. We cant get any sound out of the external paging speakers now when we dial the feature code.

Are you using self amplified horns or an amp?
Solder a cable onto the 1/8" mini and plug it in with you buttset clipped on the ends.
Page through the system and make sure you have an output.
Once you establish that you have an output the rest is wiring and/or input connections.
What code are you dialing?

I dont see an amp anywhere, this used to work with the old system, so the customer tells me. Im dialing: Intcm,34. Ill hook my butt set up to it and see what happens.

Get premade cables from RSor at least carry one for troubleshooting. Sometimes solder in the field jobs short out and are a PIB.
