Just wanted to pass along I finished my TDE training earlier this week down at Panasonic in NJ. There are some nice enhancements to the TDA product to include a new line of IP telephones that support blue-tooth and the ability for the system to support SIP extensions. I was able to connect a SIP softphone to the TDE very easily. SIP trunking will be coming very soon. There is also a newer version of the Panasonic IP softphone as well. The processor now has a built in LAN port so no more need for a CTI link card too. It would take some time to go over the rest of the enhancements but what I mentioned were the most impressive to me personally. If any one has any questions about the TDE feel free to send me a PM and I'll try to answer them. I'll be installing a TDE system here in my office to play around with it as I was only exposed to it during training thus far.

Yep a lot of nice features however there’s one thing I don’t like which might be different over there!! That’s a separate power supply. Yes separate is what I mean when you buy the system here you get the warning batteries not included. One thing i always felt to be good about Panasonic was if you wanted to upgrade to more Exts or lines you only had to buy the equipment and plug it in, seems they chosen the route of the other suppliers. But gone one better, with charging €250.00 extra for the power supply.

I didn' like the blue tooth headset, was slow to re-act,took 2-3 seconds from pressing the button on headset to when voice path was open.
Main board comes with a lot of extra onboard equipment, like smv and Ip extension as standard, but you are paying for them anyway.
Benb, if you have a 100/200 kxtda you can change the the cpu to a kxtde cpu and it becomes a kxtde

They were first to be bought separate here when they came out as well, but Panasonic said that the sales men here would not be able to spec the power supplies or for cost reasons chance the small PSU, and with good reason, I have seen 30-40 7433 on a 100 system ( upgraded from td1232) and at night most of them were set to ring and when a call came in the system rebooted with the power surge(that was with the Medium PSU). So here we get the 100 with a medium psu and the 200 with a large

It's not rocket science, it's math. We tell a customer they can migrate 20 non-76xx sets (20x4=80) on an M power supply and 40 (40x4=160) on an L. Anything beyond that requires a calculator or the spreadsheet program.

I had taken a webinar on the config. As the blue tooth goes that delay is pretty much across the board as I have seen with any blue tooth device. It just takes getting used to it. Here in the US you need to have been certified on the TDE before you can purchase the product from distrubution. I still think it's a step in the right direction for Panasonic though they need to work on their IP networking integration between systems. Still have a ways to go there in my opinion.

ben honestly I understand all these bells and whistles a toys they are comming upwith but tell me how many tda's you've install to replace a customer that has outgrown a dual td and either not wanted to do a 500 or have not wanted to put that second 1232 in as an expansion option there are still plenty of people that want to just pickup the same old phone they've been using for 10 years and make a phone call...
i do have to admit that lee and bellingham are like night and day but I still maintain and install a fair amount of kx-td products.... btw did you know I do a fair amount of sub work on the cape for the tda/e dealer!!drive right past b'ham every time I go out there
