I have installed a tda30 works fine apart from the cli name feature. I get the cli number on the screen but the system doesn't put the name reference as per the feature guide description is there any thing else to do to get the feature to work?

Are you certain that the name is being sent?
Here in the US it's an extra charge to have both name and number sent.
What type of incoming service do you have?
What type of sets are being used.
If possible, you may want to check it with a small
CID unit at the interface or simply call your provider and see if you are suppose to receive the name. Once determined that you are receiving both we can look in the TDA for programming options.

Over here we don't get the name sent in with cli, but if the person is in the main speed dial in system program 001 for number and 002 for the name it will pull the name to match the number.

It you do get the name sent with cli, but you are using a phone with single line display, when a call is ringing press the transfer button on the phone and it scrolls between the number -name - icd group- line number. on a 3 line display you also have the Info option

thanks for the above. aust don't get the name with number we are not that advanced yet. I did look through the programming for other settings but couldn't find then. I will give the info button a go . All the handsets are 7630 with pstn

The info button wont work unless you put the numbers and names in to speed dial. this means that only the people that you know and have set up in the system speed dial will give you a name on screen.
The name and number will show together on the 7630 phones.
