hi.
i usually install samsung. but i got stuck helpin a friend install a kxta 824. which to my suprise went remarkably well and seems to be i nice little system. my only problem remaining is they are front door auto attendant which is working fine but when someone dials an extention from there it rings forever at that ext and never goes to a personal mbx. same if u transfer a call to an ext. cant seem to find the no answer fwd timer. or where to put the fwd destination in at.

do you have a internal message card or the vm 50 unit?

You have to set BV for extension in program 622

To record message dial 723 1 # record message and hang up
to play back outgoing message press 723 2 #

To forward calls to bv at the handset dial 71 2 725#

Call fwd timer is set system wide in prog 202

I have the same phone system but the DESA is not working when ever i divert calls to DESA it sound a hum tone and then goes to the music on hold, even i have recorded an out going message for DESA. Can any one please help. thanks

The recording of the ogm is done through the handset

Dial 722 common bv message box, 01-24 then 1 #
record message then hang up.

ogm 01 is normaly the first ogm for disa.

It could be a faulty card or just the card not sitting fully on mother board
