Ok I'm scratching my head here. 2 part problem.

Customer asks me can he call forward his phone to his cell. I say yes of course. We can do it 2 ways either in the voice mail through the AA or at his desk set.

When I go into the voice mail I can get the option to enter a call forward to CO telephone number. From the main menu press 5 for message management, 6 to enter the phone number. But when i try to activate I don't get the remote call forwarding option (not even to an extension never mind a CO). When I press 6 (other features) from the main menu, I'm not give an option to press 4 for remote call forwarding.

I also tried to set up the forwarding on the phone. I turned on the appropriate COS settings and it doesn't work. When you transfer a call to the phone through AA, I see the a 2nd CO lightup for 1/2 a second and then go out. 10 seconds later I'm back in the AA. If I call the phone station to station I'm forwarded to his cell. So I know my forwarding string is correct.

I think that it's a version issue. I think that the td816 has to be a version 4 or higher to be able to call forward to a c.o.

Marv, are you certain that the TVS is sending a blind transfer?

Have you allowed the cos of the AA to fwd calls or that the vm ports are not call barred.

The remote fwd option in the VM is to control the extension externaly to call fwd your extensions and has to be allowed in managers mailbox

Ken, good call on the possibility of the AA ports being restricted.
Marv had mentioned that the Ext. to Ext. does work with the external forwarding.
I'm thinking if we do a blind transfer the AA ports wouldn't be doing the calling, No?
I suppose it could be a version issue but I have some really old units out there that are transfering calls externally after hours through a custom menu to an SLT port with the forwarding set.
Marv, try calling the AA and dialing #8 then the extension that has the external forwarding set.

Marv, just ran this by some other dealers and the general consensus is:
It is indeed a version issue.
94Astro called it from the beginning.
The Ext. to Ext. will work even back to a -1 on the TD but through the TVS50, NO
Through the A/A would require a combination
of a -5 TD and a TVS that has the 25 suffix as in the TVS125, 225 and so on.
Apparently it will work occasionlly but more ofton then not it will just drop the line as your seeing.
Sorry for the run around.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll be heading back there to check version numbers. The KSU is "new" enough to run 7400 series phones.
