Hi; just inherited a residential client who was talked into upgrading to this system. They are reusing their kxt 7030 phones ( just read about power supply adding on, must check next visit ) and kxt 7633 phones. TVa50 voice mail too. No fancy stuff just door boxes and voice mail.

Here is the issue; before the installer disappered he replaced some card. Client now notices that caller id not displayed on line two ( of two )( yes CID works at demark )

and would like to barge in. I have read of the press 3 but how do I access programming from a system phone to allow?

Ext 101 is an old analog port. The voice mail is on port 104 and 105 seems to be dead. ( maybe a two port voicemail takes a second port??) two four port cards and one 8 port. thanks.

If caller ID works on line one then that means there is a caller ID card installed for lines 1-4. You can turn off caller id per line, maybe line two is turned off.

Barging in, or Executive Busy Override, is enabled in Class of Service. If all exts are in COS 1, enable exec busy override in that COS. Then you can press 3 to barge in.

One digital extension will give you 2 ports on a tva 50. If the tda and the tva50 are syncd the light on the tva50 will be solid green. If you aren't tda certified and don't have the PC Programming tool it isn't gonna be easy to accomplishing most of this.

First off you won't get into programming from the analog phone. You said there are 7633's on the system. Plug one into port 1 and now you can enter programming (assuming programming is allowed in your COS)

More information. The only Line card 3180/5180 did not have a caller id daughter board card. However after purchasing a new 3193/5193 cid card, I find that we still have no CID.

Checked programming 490. Before insertion of card, it allowed me to make changes of FSK , visiual, or dtmf on port 2. Even after inserting card onto the only line card in this tda-50 I stlll show cid settings available only on port/slot two.

Is this normal. ? Any initializing sequence needed ?

BUT NEVER CID on phones.

Any experience with bad line cards that wont show cid but work great otherwise , or bad cid cards out of the box?

Thanks!
