Hi, I purchased a TA824 a couple of years ago and have been using it with the VM card. I finally got fed up and upgraded to the TVA50.
I think what I am trying to accomplish is fairly simply - I just would like someone to let me know if it is and point me in the right direction ...
I have 4 COs in hunt and 4 extensions - I want the COs to ring at all extensions - if no-one picks up, I want a message played that asks the caller if they would like to continue holding, or if they would like to leave a message.
The part I am a little confused about is the continue holding bit - is there a way to program the TVA50 so that the caller can select continue to hold and then any of the extensions can pick up the call ... and if so, how is this indicated at the PTs (flashing light - ringing)?
Thank you very much,
SK

sounds like you want to put callers in a queue I don't think you can get the 824 to do it but I may be wrong. To do it in the KX-TAW 848 or tda/e you would just define a value in overflow timer for a ICD group and in that ICD group define a queuing time table and it will follow timers on how you define that table i.e all phones ring and then timer kicks in and first ogm plays "please wait for the next available x" music if connected then "please continue to hold "music" "please...and in the mean time all the phones in the group continue to ring untill someone picks up or rerouted to another destination if defined in the last sequence of the time table hope that explains it. The point is it's not the voicemail at all that is holding the call it's the ogm card and disa that does the magic.M

Thanks M ...
But won't this work:
Call comes in and rings at all extensions. There is a no answer transfer to a TVA50 custom service message that says "to continue holding press 1, to leave a message press 2". The caller presses 1 and the call is transferred back to an extention on the 824.
My question is: How can I get all extensions to ring when the call is transferred back to the 824?
Or, is there another way to do it using the call hold feature of the TVA50?
Thanks

More problems that system does not support ring groups although if you use disa you can ring a whole ext group in theory.Next problem There is no intercept routing so the best you'll get is a 15 second ring delay then bang the voicemail answers.Believe me many have failed that box just is not flexible .If you had overhead paging you may be able to get the tva to hold the call via auto attendant and page overhead over and over again and say "incoming Call....."

Or you can connect a single line ringer to a spare extension. Place this extension as your destination for option A and give all of your extensions a call pick up button. You could even have the single line extension ring over paging if necessary.
