I have a client who has a TDA 1232 system with a TVS 120 attached.
I did not initially install this system but we moved it once without any programming involved. I tried to access system programming at ext 101 by entering "Pause + * + # + XXXX (default system password)", but it would not give me access. I get a double tone. I tested the user programming and iot works fine. Customer says to his knowledge the password has not been changed.
I actually have two issues. One is the programming access; is it possible to default the password without losing all programming?
The other is related to the call routing. Calls come in to ext 101 and if not answered is supposed to roll to the main company greeting. This was working up unitl recently, but now it goes to ext 11 which does snot exist. The message says "the person at ext 11 is not available" ......... I checked the Call Fwdg for 101 and it is set for B/NA to route to ext 165, which I assume is the main voice mail number (not sure on this), but instead it keeps going to the phantom ext 11.
Help!

Telman, it's not the CFW. B/NA at 101 that will send callers to the main greeting it's system programming IRNA. If the CO lines were set as DID1-1 to Ext. 101 then they would go into the personal greeting of Ext. 101. (Which I wouldn't set it up that way) Use the IRNA programming for day/night If your using the pause key to enter programming that's telling me you have an analog set, which is fine. The 1232 did not come as a TDA. It's either a TA1232 or a TD1232. Do you know which one it is? ------------------------------------ MrG
