I just transplanted a client's KSU. The surgery was successful and the patient is doing fine...with only one hitch.
Line 10 on their system is setup as the default "call out" line on many of their phones. But since reinstalling the system (I did NO reprogramming), this line appears constantly busy. Each of the extensions gets an instant busy signal when accessing the line.
At the Board, the line is fine, incoming and outgoing. But through the Switch, it's always appearing as busy.
Note: Since I am obviously not a Panny specialist, I do NOT want to reprogram this puppy unless absolutely necessary. I could do some simple steps, if someone would be kind enough to walk me through them, though.

I would monitor the line at the d-marc with your buttset. See if the system is actually taking the line off hook. Then I would check every set for bad switch hooks or a stuck speaker button. Even if you have to unplug all the sets and put them back 1 at a time. If it is something in programming, I'm sure Rich will be along shortly as he's up on the DBS. ------------------------- MrG

Either the line port on the trunk card is bad or the system isn't programmed for the line on the sets. What is the key programmed as when you check the button? Does the key show the correct CO number?

Thanks, Mr. G, and thanks, Rich! It's a pleasure to hear from such pros!
Unfortunately, I was not as pro this time - looks like I cross-connected to a dead pair from the MPOE for Line 10. So I found the correct line and hooked it up.
But the KSU seems to have forgotten to automatically pick up Line 10 when someone picks up the handset to call out. All the other programming seems to be intact.
Rich - I'm sure you know how to program this in - what do I do?
