I have a customer with D1232 phone system and tva 50 with kxt 7456 telephone

how do i set up a caller id button on this phone?

when you say a caller id button, do you mean a caller id logging button?

If so the d1232 does not have one ( on the E model anyway)

if a call is dil 1:1 to extension, the display will show you new-- old-- on the screen and ths shift button will light

If coming through the vm it is seen as a internal call
