One of my customers has a DBS96 system and they have a key that is programmed to access their voicemail box. The hunt group of the voicemail is 160 and consists of extensions 161-168. The button is programmed as such:CA160A99 which is (conference ,auto, 160 auto, station speed dial 99.) the issue that we are having is that once 160 is dialed it will not dial the station speed dial number 99.
We can use one of the members for instance 161-168 and auto 99 and it works but when we dial the huntgroup pilot number it does not. This previously worked and "someone" did some programming and thinks they may have possibly caused the issue we are having. Please help!

What happens when you call the HG (160) from one of the sets? Do you get the VM?

When you call HG 160 from any phone voicemail does pickup. Usually goes to 161, 162, etc in order.

When you press the programmed button with CA160A99, voicemail answers, but fails to dial A99, which is my PSD. If you program button to dial CA161A99, voicemail answers and then dials A99, works fine. Some issue when programming CA160 where 160 is the pilot of the group 161-168. 160 will not forward digits to PSD.

The Voicemail is an Amanda Workgroup Windows, manufactured by TAA. See previous post about what happens when button is pressed on phone.

I will try to explain it better, here goes:
160 is the HG for voicemail, if you pick up any phone and dial 160 the voicemail will answer with the AA greeting, which is proper operation.
On each users phone that has a voicemail button, that button is programmed to dial 160 and then their PSD99 bin, which consists of their mailbox number and password. For example;*115pause 1234
* is used to tell the voicemail that you are a user on the system, then it prompts you to enter your mailbox number, in this example 115, then it prompts you for your password, in this example 1234. We are never getting beyond the phone system dialing voicemail, in this case 160. You NEVER hear the PSD number being dialed when you have 160 programmed first. If you insert one of the hunt group members 161-168 in place of 160 then you hear the PSD number dial through. Is there anything is phone system programming that will not allow any digits to be dialed after a HG number is dialed? As stated previously this was working up until about a week or so ago, when some programming adjustments were made. Unfortunately we do not know what may have been done. I have scoured the book, but nothing jumps out at me.

Strange indeed. What about a reboot? I would give that a shot first. I would reboot both the DBS and the VM. I have worked with Amanda's attached to the DBS before, but I have never experienced the problem you are having.

I would check the HG settings in FF4. I would also thoroughly check out all of the settings in the Amanda. Find whoever it was that made the changes and thump them in the head. After that, make them fix it back right laugh

Worst case you'll have to go around to each set and re-enter the button to call 161 instead of 160. It's not that big of a deal that you'll be using a serial hunt instead of a DHG when you access voicemail from a set.

The Customer was kind enough to perform a reboot of both the DBS system and the voicemail and the problem still exists. At this time the buttons are programmed as such so that when a person pushes their VM button that it dials 161 through 168. This is all well and good but if a particular vm port is busy it does not hunt to the next available port / extension. Any ideas on how to make the extension numbers of hunt group 160 hunt without dialing 160.

Thanks
