The S-type power supply is the small one (TDA0108). Currently you have cell station interface cards, but no cell stations. You can do one of a couple of things: Add another digital station card (maybe an 8 port - TDA0171). You really need to do this anyway, because you have 14 digital phones, 1 digital console, and a voicemail system, with a 2 port expansion card. That adds up to 17 digital ports. If you eliminate the CSIF cards, and add digital cell stations (kxt0151), you'll be all right. OR
You could add the tda0170 digital hybrid card, which gives 8 analog and 8 digital ports. Eliminate the CSIF cards, the cell stations and connect a plain old analog cordless phone.

Sorry the S one is what we want, the smaller of the three.
We don't want analog anything, all digital (sept the POTS lines).
Sooo what kinda card do I need and what kinda cordless phone do I need. We want a panasonic digital cordless, but they sell different kinds and i wasnt sure what kinda we need. The easiest/simplest/cheapest method while staying in the panasonic digital system.
We already have an existing panasonic digital cordless but im not sure of the model #, we use it with our old system now.
I forgot about the TVA50 using up extensions. Is it kinda like the TVA50 combined with an 824 system where it uses up two extension ports? Same kinda ordeal? We'll have a total of 4 ports for our TVA50 system once configured. So does that mean im using up 4 digital extensions?
And the DSS uses up an extension also I guess? Maybe a 16 + 8 Digital Extension is what we'll end up doing. That'll give us enough for phones and some light expansion while covering our accessories.

I recommend using the digital hybrid card and using KXTD7896 cordless phones. You will connect one hybrid port to the base unit. The voicemail uses digital integration, so two digital station ports gives you 4 digital voicemail ports.

Does the KXTD7896 use analog? If not why not just stick with a standard 8-port digital extension card? Isnt it cheaper then a hybrid?

I figured out mh own question.
We're going with a regular cordless phone that we'll plug into a digital port.
For my boss's house, i opted for a cell station card, a cell station, and a cordless phone, since he'll have multiple cordless phones throughout the house, made more sense that way. We only need one cordless at our office, and that rarely gets used.

There is no regular cordless phone that plugs into a digital port. You either connect the cell station to a digital port and use a portable phone, or you connect a TD7896 to a hybrid port, as I explained above. Read my earlier advice if you want it to work. For one wireless phone, use the hybrid card. You need the extra digital port anyway.

Well im confused... what is the hybrid port for... im all digital on my system, isnt the hybrid card analog and digital lines??? Or something? When i did a TDA100 for a client of mine, we plugged the cordless phone right into a digital port.
