On my KXTA824 we use KX-T7731 phones, The DSS buttons on the far right are programed as one touch buttons for speed dialing but they dont do anything. if the phone is on the hook and no CO line is selected and you push one of those buttons it will show you the phone number programed to it. but no combination of pushing those buttons and a CO line will get it to dial. I have tried picking a CO line first and then a speed dial, nothing, speed dial then the CO line,, still nothing,,,

Did you program a "9" before the number? This signals to the phone system that it's an outside call.
