I am not having any trouble setting up a 50 to notify users when they have a new message. The problem I am having is when I want the system to call the second device if the first device does not answer. I set up a delay of 45 minutes between first device and next device and have them both set up for continuos (sorry for spelling) use. So far all it does is keep calling the first device. I should add that the phone that it is calling has voicemail so the call is being answered but no imput given to the 50. The system just keeps on calling the first device.
Any ideas??

Thanks and I hope this is not to confusing.

Hi "S", long time no talk.
besides setting continuous use, did you also set each device for "send notification for all messages"?

Yea, both devices should be continuous use. I know I am missing something as it can't be this difficult.
Hope all is going well your way?

Check the number of attempts for the first device. I believe the default is 3 and it will make the 3 attempts before moving to the second device.

The number of attempts is default at 3. I set the timer between device 1 and next device to 45 minutes. So far, the voicemail just keeps on calling me till I shut it down.
If I get time tomarrow I will go through my settings again to see if I missed something.

Thanks everyone.

Stephie

If you have "Device Notification for Unreceived Message" set to YES, the VPS thinks the call must be initiated to the Device 1. If a cellphone voicemail answers the call, it doesn't interact (press 1), so the message is unreceived and it starts the endless loop over. It doesn't even really get to the "busy" or "no answer" timer because the cellphone vmail won't cooperate! Try setting Device 1 to a landline phone and see if it follow the logical sequence.
