I just want to thank everyone here for a very interesting and useful site.I have a ts-22L buttset that I was about to discard because it had died.One person mentioned that a bad lithium cell would disable the set ,and sure enough,a $3.95 replacement made it as good as new. There was a discussion about the colors of the Western Electric backboards that rang a bell.In the august 1972 edition of the Bell Laboratories Record,there was an article entitled"Connective System For Customer Premises".It stated"The colors incidently,are pastel shades because bright colors lose their identity more readily in subdued light".
