I have a TDA-100 system that I setup and programmed this past Friday and I have returned to finish a couple of items that I did not get to on Friday. When I arrived on-site, everything was up and running just fine. When I went to connect to the system, I got a "data file read error" message when I went to connect. I restarted the program and my connection (USB) and still nothing. So I power cycled the PBX and now the RUN indicator is flashing at 120 times per minute and the system will not startup as normal. I have read that the flashing means that the switch is in the system initialize mode or the SD card is not inserted, but I have verified that both are correct. I am at my wits end with this thing and any advice is appreciated

Thank you.

well the first thing to do is switch off the system. remove and re-seat the MPR card (the one with the usb slot
while still off remove the SD card, place in sdcard reader and make sure all files are on the card and in a dir structure (PRIVATE-MEDIGROUP-PCC-PBX)the PBX folder should contain
DIBRI
DICSINF
DICTILIN
DIDHLC
DIDLC
DIDVCO
DIDVDPH
DIDVEXT
DIDVWLS
DIE1
DIEIO
DIEM
DIIPGW1
DIIPGW2
DILCOT
DINI
DIOPB3DIPIRI30
DISLC
DISLCLC
DILNGO
DLNG1
DSYS
PMPR
if all the above files are on the sdcard and in the PBX folder then reinsert the card and restart with only the MPR card inserted (ie remove all other cards from frame
if it doesnt boot move the initialize switch up and down a few times and try again
if still no boot tell us what version software and we may have a backup sd card files for you to try as the MPR File may be corrupt this would also cause the flashing

come back to us with the info

I was able to find the problem. It was a bad SD card. I was told that it is rare, but it still happens. So, I went out and bought a 1GB SD card and reader, checked the old card, and I could not open it on my computer, so I got the SD card files and put them on the new card. Initialized...and Bam! I was up and running again. The only downfall was, that I wasn't able to get the backup file off the old SD card so I had to reprogram the system, which only took me about 20 min.

Thanks again!

One thing I learned is now when I install a new TDA the first thing I do is copy the SD card to my customer backup area. Then everytime I get into a system I backup the data, just to be safe.
Anyway, glad you are back up.

Do the job right the first time.
