I was under the impression that Panasonic "would never leave a phone behind" meaning that all new systems were backward compatible with older version phones. I have an NCP with nt-346/343 phones and recently put nt-321 sets on an older tda200 that had to be upgraded to v5.0 in order to work.
When you try to connect the phone, what does the display show? There have been times when I connected phones that I had to go into the phone and reinitialize the phone in order for it to connect.

I'll see if I can find a 136 and try it on my system to see if I have the same result.

I checked with my distributors tech support, and they were told by Panasonic that they were not supporting a 136 on the NCP platform. I've got to think that at some point there will be a firmware update for that.

I got word back as well, does not matter what version it is it wont work.

seems the ncp just sets up the call between the ip phones and they then work peer to peer and the NT 136 wont do this.
mabe the will be pressuried in to getting a patch for this, there is a few systems not upgrading to ncp because they would have to get all new phones

other than that the ncp is working fine, only complaint I would have is the fan is a bit noisy

thanks ictelco for checking

Ken
