Hi,

I use to be certified on the KX-TD's. I can't remember the latest version I worked on, but I used the DOS based software for programming. I vaguely remember the later version(s) needing a windows based software. Am I remembering that correctly? I have a dash 6 I am trying to access.

I'm getting ready to move the system next week and would like to back it up.

Thank you for any info.

Hi,

So no one knows if my DOS based E1232a program will back-up a 1232-6? I'm moving the system tomorrow and would really like to back it up first...

Thanks

Sorry Scott, I am not a KX-TD guy.

What does the manual say about it?

scott, each kxtd -1-6 has a different prog tool, the panasonic tool was always the dos one, but there are programators for windows, but they are not panasonic certified tools. search on line for one.

There are different programmer programs (is that redundant?) for each release. The only 1 that covers more than 1 is version 6. It covers 6 also covers 7. The difference between 6 & 7 was that the 7 KSU included the CID cards that had to be purchased seperately for 6 and back. John C.

The DOS and the Windows tool are still available at the BTS dealer site.

The latest firmware version for the TD1232 was 6.
7 was nothing more then a version 6 with pre- installed CID card.
The 6 will work on all earlier versions but I always preferred using a version that was only 1 higher then the unit I connected to.
As Brokeda said, it is still available for down load on the BTS dealer site.
