I have tried all kind of trick and out of ideas, If anyone out here can help with this wiered issue.
I have KX-NT366s, when I try to registered this phone itself to to NCP1000, It keep saying "Server Connecting..." even tried different tricks. I am using static IP and I can ping phone IP itself and can ping 192.168.0.102 (NCP1000's IP for VoIP-DSP).
When I try registering this phone using Management console using PC, Configure>Slot>IP Phone registration>adding 101 to right side>Next>and then keep saying "Request executing...".
The Phone and NCP1000 are in same subnet 192.168.0.XXX. The phone static IP is 192.168.0.10. I even bypass my switch and hookup the phone directly to LAN port of NCP and can ping again with no luck.
I thought that there might be an TCP IP port issue, When I select "IP Port" on the phone SETUP, it ask for password. I tried all default password but can not go inside this settings. If you can tell me the password that I may be missing, I want to see which IP port it might set to.
Thanks,
RD

point the phone to the ip address of the IPCMPR card
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.”

Yes, you are right. It worked for me. It was very weird that I have to disable QoS (i.e. VLAN primary and secondary), Default gateway to 0.0.0.0 and PBX IP to IPCMPR card's IP 192.168.0.101. I could not ping .101 until I disabled QoS, while .102 and .10 (phone’s IP) were pinging. I was forced to use PC with maintenance console to register each IP phone. I have tried different combinations of IPs for DG and PBX without any luck until I disable QoS.
Do you think I should worry about disabled QoS using VLAN 100 (for voice) and 1 (data-secondary)? I have D-link DES1228P PoE switch with above VLAN ID setup for default (1) and Voice (100). My Data network is using DHCP with 192.168.8.XXX network, while NCP and IP phones are using static 192.168.0.XXX subnet.
Thanks for your help,
RD
