Would the connection between a Portable Station and the cell site stay intact while an elevator is moving if we put a cell site on top of an elevator car?

This would be a DECT 0155 cell site on top of an elevator in a 31 story building, so the elevator car probably moves fast. If it works, these people want it done, I just don't know if it would.

I don't see why it wouldn't work... as long as the physical connection is intact to the KSU, the cell station should work.

Yeah I don't see why not either, I'm just thinking if the cell site signal would be lost while traveling 20 mph(or whatever the speed is) for whatever reason.

Speed should not matter.
Give it a shot and check back to let us know.

Might be a while, first gotta get the job, then elevator guys need to install cable.If we do it, I'll post results...
