Does anybody out there know of a good call recording system for up to 32 ports of analog trunk side recording that's affordable? Can you build these yourself using a stand alone PC with intel dialogic boards and 3rd party software?

the customer has the ability to record now, on a 8 port voicemail. That's definetly not what we are looking for. I need to record all calls ,all the time ,in or out!also I will need to be able to archive them to disk preferably a cd rom or dvd. I called NICE logging and they want 25 to 30 thousand for an analog trunk recording capable of 32 ports! I've found a company in town that sells OASIS recording equipment that will handle this for around 20,000. Anyone familar with OASIS? By the way I learned that there is ld carriers that offer 800 numbers with the ability to record all calls, then later you can get them off the internet. Seems like most local carriers should offer this. I'm going to check into that farther. please, I would like more input!

there was a company that sold referb recorders a while back, I think the name was Ackerman communications. I'll try to dig through some old files to see if I could locate them for you.

The company I work for is a 24hr answering service as well. We use a voice logger made by Racal. We are using only 12 ports but it can go much higher. We can listen to calls from any PC on the network and it has dual DVD ram disk drives. We average about 2000 call a day and one disk will last us about a month. I'm out of town at present, but will be back at the office MON. If you're interested in more info, e-mail me and I will give you all the info I have. Seems like we paid about 7k for the unit we have.

Give DictaPhone or Voicelogger a shot.

I agree with jwooten on Dictaphone. Most of the E911 centers use only Dictaphone for call recording. The E911 center in your county or city may have Dictaphone equipment and have the name of the nearest rep.
