I've noticed a function thats most annoying. Intercom msg lamping. A lit msg lamp. When you press the button, it calls the ext. that had tried to call you earlier. Is there anyway to toggle this OFF. Its not active on most the systems I work on, but I come across one every once in awhile. Any idea of where in prog. I need to look. Last one was 816...but I think i've seen it on the 1232 systems also.

you have to press the message lamp or 4 to light the lamp, most of the time it is a mistake dialing with out selecting a line first. the tda/tde/ncp you can change this number, but I don't see it in the td

On the TD it works like this: On a PT make ICM call,
if NA Press Message button. message button on called phone lights. Messages stack. Can be viewed in order at receiving phone by pressing message button without going off hook.
cannot be turned off.
Can be used from a slt with codes.

Thanks for letting me know. I now always turn it off on every system I install a TDA, TDE or NCP. It has to be the most anying thing about the panasonic range of phone systems.

Thanks for confirming about the old TD

Does disabling the lamp notification affect any other functions like voicemail?
