Sorry to be so "monopolizing" today.
Does anyone know whether you can program PDN/SDN buttons across different phone types on the TDA? For example, KX-TD7636 in the office at x101 with PDN101 buttons, KX-NT136 remote IP Phone at x201 with SDN101 buttons and Single Line set at x301 with SDN101 button. We have a situation where the user is at x101 in the office and works from home at x201, so the SDN buttons would be very useful.
Thanks again, Mike.

it should if it is an IP phone logged on to the same system and not over a gateway card, then you would need an extra license, but not on an slt

It is an IP Phone(s) all logged/registered to the same system through an IP-EXT16 card.
I wasn't too surprised about the SL set not working. But I am surprised that the IP Phones don't work. Have you done this successfully?

have you thought of using a ICD group with 101 and 201 in it?

Yes it allows it.
But then again, it allowed me to program SDN's on SL sets too.

I thought of an ICD group, Intercept Routing or maybe call forwarding. But I'd like to be sure about the original question if anyone has successfully done the PDN/SDN across sets first. The client has used the system for a few years and has only recently requested this feature.

I tried to use pdn/sdn in a pharmacy on just 2
7636 for the owner who had 2 phones on upstairs one downstairs and I was expecting it to work like it should and it wouldn't ring so this was one of the times were I got into tech support queue and the tech said I had to remove the line appearances on the phone to work and I remember saying what good is the feature ??? Have never tried to use this feature again what good is a phone with out a line appearance???

Now that's really interesting. The other places that I have PDN/SDN working do not have line appearances! They are on PRI's, so we just gave them LOOP keys.
Funny, I didn't find anything about the drawbacks or limitations of PDN/SDN in the manuals. Maybe I just missed it.

I have not tried it on an ip phone, but I can see no reason for it not to, I must set one up and check it out. when you say it allowed you to set it on an sl button, the software will allow every button on every phone to be set up, but if the button is not there it cant work, like a dt321 has 8 buttons but you can still program it as a 24 button set, but only the first 8 are there to work.
it is silly to be able to program buttons if it is an slt, but the system does not look at extension type in button programming

the only thing that this is good for is when you have a girl that screens calls for a load of people if you are using the system like a square key system were its ...its for you on line 6 then pdn/sdn's are useless. An old school phantom button on the TD would be nice Dont know why they dumped them ! I wound up putting the guys ext 113 on an analog ext and looped it to a line key.....
