Can anyone tell me if time sync is supported between these units? In the TVS50, I can only find an option to sync the Day/Night mode with the PBX, but can't seem to find any option to sync the time.

Well, I just set it up, so I won't know for a while, but I saw that time sync was supposed to be supported from Rev 5 and I'm running 6, so was looking for the option. It would be convenient as it looks like daylight savings on the TVS is only settable for specific dates, as opposed to 1st or 2nd Sundays. So I would still have to set up both the PBX and TVS each change. It would be convenient to set it on the PBX and have it automatically sync on the TVS.

On another note, I'm still looking through the manual, but how do you turn off the "You have a call" on the recipient of a transfer? I'd like it to just cut straight through when you pick up.

are you using caller id if so switch on option were the time will update (change time on both make a test call see if it updates both units)

set exts to call fwd busy / no answer to 165
set fwd/dnd light so its lit solid for call fwd
set call transfer sequence to FXD
or turn that user 1 prompt off

I also like changing "please wait a moment" to "your call is being transfered " or "i'll transfer you now"

I had tried the caller ID time update on the PBX, but for some reason, the data I got from the caller ID was waaay off, even a different year! But I only tried it once, so maybe it was just some bad data.

So, you are saying to try changing the time on the PBX and see if the TVS will change, i.e. the option should automatically be on, but will only adjust when the PBX time changes? I could try that.

So the only way to disable the transfer announce is to disable the message? And to do that, I'd have to record over that message in User1 and then disable it? I don't seem to be able to disable messages unless I've recorded over the default.

I actually don't use full individual mailboxes on my system. My system is used for my home, as well as my home office, so for the home, I have it ring several phones and I have a CO line intercept after 4 rings to the VM. Then the first extension on that ring group gets the message. With LCS on, it's pretty much like an answering machine. It's set up the same way for my work CO lines, but only rings my work extension. So none of the extensions have FWD on. The AA is only used on one other line for fax detection, as well as my backdoor access to the system. That's where I want to disable the transfer prompts.

Thanks for the response!

You're right. When I update the time on the PBX, it does automatically update on the TVS as well, so I guess there is no option, it's just always on.

makes sense if td>tvs is smart enough to evoke night mode and pass along caller id info it must know what time it is....
